At Cambridge University’s ADC Theatre, we have strengthened the on-street presence by transforming the public spaces, box office and foyer. The bar has been enlarged and the whole building benefits from greatly improved accessibility.
Backstage facilities have also been radically improved, with new offices, a clubroom and one of the few theatre control rooms that is served by a lift, enabling technicians to participate in lighting and sound regardless of disability.
A final phase of improvements, formally opened by Sir Peter Hall, includes new dressing rooms, a rehearsal room, a workshop, an enlarged stage and the upgrading of the auditorium.
