After success at competitive interview to design a masterplan for 25 years’ of future development at Downing College, we undertook the first phase with a new graduate residence, the Singer Building, for thirty students, together with the refurbishment and conversion of Edwardian villas on Lensfield Road, providing accommodation for a further fifty students.

Two further phases followed, during which we extended and refurbished the Porters’ Lodge, improved accessibility, re-ordered the frontages of the Lensfield Road villas and created a new pedestrian entrance to the College.
