- Foundation stone unveiled
The foundation stone of the new Boathouse for Gonville and Caius College, carved by Lida Kindersley, was unveiled at a ceremony today. Jack McDonald, former Boatclub Senior Treasurer, said the building stood for the spirit of adventure and of excellence, while Jimmy Altham, current Boatclub Senior Treasurer, said the project was an example of teamwork “Everyone has been cooperative, helpful and wanting to make a success of it”.
