We have obtained Detailed Planning Consent for a major new Performing Arts building at the Leys School in Cambridge. This includes a flexible, multi-purpose hall with stage and workshop, dressing rooms and control room linked by foyers to a separate Drama Studio with a Dance Studio to the rear. All spaces are completely accessible.

There are teaching rooms for the Drama Department and an extension to the adjacent Science Building which provides three new laboratories and refurbishes the existing facilities.

This large complex of buildings has been sympathetically integrated with its existing neighbours in a way that forms a new public face to the western boundary and gives architectural interest to a neglected part of the school.

The construction commenced in October 2011 and is due to complete in 2013.
