ABMC Visitor Centre

The layout of Bland, Brown and Cole’s new Visitor Centre for the Cambridge American cemetery includes a new entrance court with matching reception and services buildings either side to provide the principal orientation space for visitors on arrival. This space links with the new exhibition building set in woodland beyond containing an extensive interactive display and exhibit telling the story of American service men and women and their sacrifice during World War II.

These buildings are carefully arranged to preserve and enhance the architecture and landscape legacy of the site, now designated by English Heritage as a Grade I Park and Garden.

The new facilities were formally opened by the Secretary of the American Battle Monuments Commission, Max Cleland, on 26th May 2014.
