In 1997 we were appointed as consultants by Housing 21, who specialise in providing housing to full mobility standards. Our first project was for a new nineteen-flat extra-care extension to their Shearman Court building in Haverhill.

This takes the form of a three storey brick building that negotiates the steeply sloping site in such a way as to solve its problems in a way that is easily understood by the residents, creating light and airy social spaces and a terraced central garden.

The work was carried out in two phases, with Phase One completed in 2000 and Phase Two in 2004.
