St Edmund’s College

We have been acting for the graduate College since 1999 when we developed an initial Masterplan. This led to new buildings which effectively doubled the size of the College by 2007, as photographed and highlighted in blue on the bottom left hand plan. The four new buildings house a Library, Meeting Room, and 139 graduates and undergraduates in a variety of room types.

Throughout, we have aimed to develop an architecture which grows naturally out of the Victorian details of the original establishment and preserves, as much as possible, the friendly, non-institutional character of the College.

Following the continued growth of the College, we have completed a second Masterplan for a two phased development that will include graduate residential and family accommodation, research space, offices, cafe, dining facilities, Main Hall extension, seminar rooms and a Porter’s Lodge.
