Following a competitive selection process, we were appointed by the College to develop proposals to convert and reorder the existing disparate hostel buildings to produce a more cohesive and accessible environment.

The refurbished accommodation is arranged around a central courtyard with new entrances off St Mary's Passage and St Edward's Passage.

Work began on site in July 2009. The first phase of this major conversion and refurbishment was handed over in September 2010, with the 41 study bedrooms for students and three Fellow's flats being occupied.

The second phase, linking the building to the King's Parade podium and refurbishing the retail units below, was completed in December 2011.
