October 2009 - Cambridge American Cemetery:

Following an invited competition, BB&C have been appointed for the design and project management of a new interpretive centre for the Cambridge American Cemetery at Madingley Road Cambridge.

Conceived as an extension the existing Visitor Building, the new structure will house an interpretive exhibition covering the history of the Atlantic campaign and strategic air operations of northwest Europe during WW II.

The new building is due for completion in the spring of 2012.

October 2009 - "The Theatre" New Inn Broadway:

A scheme for a new build theatre in Hackney, on the site of one of the world's oldest theatres, has received Full Planning Approval. For more details, click here.

15th July 2009 - Cambourne Church:

Topping-out celebrated for phase 1 of the new Cambourne Church. Further details on the contractor's website (Kier Marriott).

6th July 2009 - King's College:

Work began on site today for this major conversion and refurbishment of the College's Market Hostel. Once completed this project will provide 41 study bedrooms for students and three Fellow's flats.

June 2009 - Cycle Ride III:

Our third office cycle ride took us south this time - along the Cam and the NCN route to Saffron Walden and back (40 miles).

24th April 2009 - ADC Theatre Wins Award:

The ADC Theatre received a Local Authority Building Control Building Excellance Award for 'Best Technical Design and Construction in the East Anglia Region'. The award was given for the innovative improvements providing accessiblity to all areas of the theatre.

The LABC Building Excellence Awards recognise and reward the best quality construction in East Anglia. The quality stems from good design and an efficient design team, and is translated into quality buildings by an effective construction team. The project now goes through to the national final.

November 2008 - The Leys School:

Full Planning Approval has been granted for a new school hall, drama studio and teaching facility for The Leys School.

October 2008 - ADC Theatre Re-Opening:

The ADC Theatre was formally re-opened by Sir Peter Hall after the completion of the latest phase of work.

August 2008 - Cycle Ride:

Click here for pictures of our second office cycle ride. Our route took us from the new bridge in Cambridge to Ely along the NCN route - and then back again - a total of 48 miles.

August 2008 - Wulfstan Way:

Inside Housing magazine, the only UK magazine solely dedicated to covering the UK social housing sector, features the second phase of the social housing at Wulfstan Way as its Development of the Week.

10th April 2008 - Mond Building Awarded Commendation:

BB&C were presented with the David Urwin Design Commendation in the Best Conservation, Alteration or Extension of an existing building category for the Mond Building in recognition of their contribution to the buildings and townscape of the City of Cambridge.

Our most recent work at St Edmund's College was offically opened by the University's Chancellor, His Royal Highness Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.
