| Design proposals were developed with the Church’s Steering Committee to enhance the Church and its facilities, with each phase complementing the next to create a coherent scheme. | |
| A new entrance space was built which linked the existing lobby and vestibule, providing a light, transparent face onto the street and views into the core of the Church. At night light radiates onto Trumpington Street contrasting with the massive stonework and solid doors of the main church. Ancillary spaces were upgraded and links to them improved with the creation of a large foyer which enables the kitchen, hall and associated facilities to be used without causing disruption in other areas of the Church. |

| Pews were removed to provide a more flexible space within the main body of the building, and an exhibition area created above the new entrance space. | |
